With the help of our Outreach & Enrollment specialist you can apply for Denali KidCare, Medicaid, and Affordable Care Act insurance.
Denali KidCare is a form of Medicaid that provides health insurance coverage for children up to the age of 18. Denali KidCare covers the cost of many medical services such as doctor’s visits, health check-ups & screenings, vision exams & eyeglasses, dental checkups, cleanings & fillings, prescription medications, speech therapy, mental health therapy, hospital care, and much more.

In the state of Alaska Medicaid health coverage is available for those between the ages of 19 and 64 who meet state income guidelines. If you are a single adult making less than $1,694 per month or a two-person family making less than $2,291 per month you may qualify for Medicaid.

Affordable Care Act

If you need help or have questions on how to apply or renew health insurance coverage through the Healthcare.gov website, we have staff trained to help you! An emergency can happen anytime. In some cases, an emergency means that you have to be flown to a facility that provides medical services that are beyond what Camai Community Health Center can provide.
A medevac flight to Anchorage can cost up to $48,000. Not all health insurance will cover the cost of a medevac flight.
In addition to your medical insurance, Apollo/Guardian Flight and LifeMed Alaska offer medevac insurance on life flights to Anchorage or Dillingham.

Additional Medevac Facts:
- You must have health insurance in order to qualify for LifeMed Alaska medevac insurance. If you are uninsured LifeMed Alaska will not cover you.
- If you qualify for LifeMed Alaska medevac insurance, your insurance coverage becomes active immediately. There is no waiting period. You can sign up for coverage while in the ER and be covered on your flight out of the ER
- Apollo/Guardian Flight has a three day waiting period before coverage becomes active
